Slow to politely comment, my apologies, but ref. Wall Valerian, ( Jupiter’s Beard), Centranthus ruber, this plant should not be confused with the true Valerian, Valeriana officinalis, which can be used medicinally and has been for centuries. It’s a completely different plant, though very distantly related and grows in quite different habitats.. Centranthus flowers, I suppose have a vaguely similar look to Valerian. In my experience both white and pink Centranthus are equal insect attractants. 🙂
