Membership of Cam Valley Wildlife Group
Cam Valley Wildlife Group is an independent local wildlife group actively involved in wildlife conservation and enjoyment. We conduct a number of specific recording and conservation projects within our area and have a programme of events both within and outside our area, including talks on diverse wildlife subjects, walks and trips.
Yearly membership is £10.00. Members receive a Newsletter once a quarter either by land mail or email according to choice, though we do encourage members to receive their newsletters electronically to cut down on costs. Members receive the quarterly Events programmes, the yearly Botany Walks programme and reduced entry fees to to our talks… plus the benefit of knowing that the membership fees help to conserve the wildlife of the local area.
Members have the opportunity to set up projects and initiatives and we offer help and support in doing so. The group funds project expenses, but if the funding required is too high, being a member of a group can aid in securing grants funding. The group’s events and activities are risk-assessed in order that they are covered by the group’s insurance policy.
