The Barn Owl Project report for 2022 is now available along with previous reports back to 2016. The earlier reports contain charts showing the number of breeding pairs in the Cam Valley Wildlife Group area going back to 1995.

Upcoming CVWG events in November

Wednesday 2 November – Talk: Beavers

Josh Harris, who has shown us his wonderful wildlife photographs in the past, is returning to speak about Beavers. Until recently he was working for the Beaver Trust.

7.30pm for 8pm start. Bar with hot/cold drinks. £2.00 members/£3.00 non-members.

Sunday 6 November – Fungi walk

2pm at Stockhill car park. Please contact Diana for further information: 07581 451805

Friday 18 November & Saturday 19 November – Moths and bats in Clandown

We will be putting our new moth trap through its paces at Gary’s on the night of Friday 18th from about 4.15 pm, hoping for mild weather to bring out autumn and winter moths and bats topping up their reserves. We’ll be checking the trap’s contents on Saturday morning at about 9.45 am, so that might be the better day to come along!

As numbers will be limited, please contact Gary in advance, and again on the day to check that the event is not cancelled due to being too cold or wet.

Contact Gary Kingman on 07960269022

Saturday 26 November – GOOSARD work morning

Regular monthly work morning on the last Saturday of the month. Please phone Peter on 07860 627744 for more information.
