Haydon Batch Bioblitz today, 30th April

There is a bioblitz at Haydon Batch today from 11.00 am – 3.00 pm. There will be two guided walks, at 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm, starting from the iNaturalist Gazebo outside Haydon Que Club. These will provide an introduction to plant identification and provide an opportunity to discuss the ecology, culinary use and cultural signinficance of the plants encountered. There will be consultant ecologists on hand to help. An eye will be kept open for birds including returning summer migrants, and also for insects if the weather is kind. There is on-street parking on Kilmersdon Raod and the site is a short walk from the Waterside estate.

CVWG sightings pages reorganised

The parent page (still called Sightings) is still there, but now has links and information. March sightings include Red Kites, Barn Owls, Martins, other birds, lizards and insects.

March Sightings – Cam Valley Wildlife Group

Postings for March this year on the sightings page include two videos of Barn Owls sent in by members. Due to website space, the videos are unlikely to be up permanently, but should be there for a while at least.
