Park in Pow’s Orchard carpark (behind Sainsbury’s) and meet at entrance to carpark, outside the Funeral Director’s (ST66335425) for a short urban walk including churchyard and cemetery.

Meet at the gate to the church (ST69885752), having parked nearby. From Radstock, take the A367 and turn L into Peasedown St John just before the start of the bypass. Take the second on the L (Church Road). The church is on the Right. We will explore the churchyard and recreation ground.

Park locally (eg in Grove Wood Road or down track to Haydon Batch off Kilmersdon Road) and meet at the entrance to Haydon Batch (ST68365374).

Park in Welton Grove (off A362, opposite Welton Baptist Church) and meet by the small green with a circle of trees (ST66525514) for a walk to Welton Batch

Meet at the large tree at the start of the track to Greyfield Wood (ST63965859). Park by the tree, or in Greyfield Road, or by the main entrance to the wood.
Wed 13 May BABINGTON WOOD [ST7051]
Park in Kilmersdon and meet at the Village Hall (ST69615230) for a walk to this wood, where we should see Solomon’s Seal, Goldilocks Buttercup and Tuberous Comfrey.

Park and meet in layby beside Wellow & Shoscombe Cemetery (ST72685757). Heading from Peasedown St John towards Wellow, cemetery is on the Right.

Park and meet at Terry Hill crossroads (ST71495338). Leave Radstock on A362, turn R at crossroads, onto B3139. Parking is immediately on Left after turn. Please lift share if you can as parking is limited.

Park and meet in the village car park opposite the Red Lion (ST65125658) for a walk to the Cam Brook, returning via Bronwen to see orchids in the garden.
Wed 17 Jun EXCURSION TO UBLEY WARREN
An evening exploring this wonderful species-rich SWT Reserve and SSSI on Mendip. Meet on the roadside on the bend just S of Charterhouse church (ST50365548). Lift share please as parking is limited. The ground is uneven and hilly, so please wear stout shoes or boots.

Park on Britten’s Hill and meet at the end of Brittens Close (ST65665690), for a walk down Hanham Lane to Goosard Batch Nature Reserve.

Park locally and meet towards the west end of Rogers Close (ST61965942) for a long evening walk in fields west of Clutton.

Meet in the car park at Stockhill (ST54895133). An opportunity to see some of the rare and special plants of Priddy Mineries.

Park in Mill Road and meet at the E end of Mill Road by the bridge over the Wellow Brook (ST69905510) for a circular walk around Lower Writhlington Batch.

Park locally in residential roads and meet on corner of Parklands and Rotcombe Lane (ST64655859) for a walk at the edge of the village.

Take A366 East from Faulkland. Park in lay-by at crossroads (ST75115510), just before Tuckers Grave pub on Left.
